“Every famous athlete, every famous performer has somebody who's a coach. A coach really, really helps.”

— Eric Schmidt, Former CEO of Google

Problem Statement:

Let's face it, product management isn't something you can just read about and get. It's a mix of art and science, and it's pretty unique for everyone. You've probably seen all those bootcamps claiming they can make you a pro. But real talk? Leading in product management is super personal. It's about finding what works for you, learning from someone who's been there, and building a plan that fits your goals and challenges.

What You Get:

  • All the 1-on-1 Time You Need: Sit down with me as often as you like. We'll talk about your goals, your struggles, and everything in between. I’ll coach you to overcome your problems.

  • Your Own Game Plan: After our chats, I'll send you a personal playbook. It'll have tasks, some cool reads, and video recaps to keep the learning going strong.

How it works:

  • Quick Chat: Hit me up for a 15-minute chat on Calendly. We'll talk about what you're looking for and make sure we're a good match.

  • Regular Deep Dives: Depending on what you're up for, we'll schedule some serious 1-hour talks to dig into everything product.

  • Your Personal Playbook: After each call, you'll get your very own action plan. Whether it's nailing product roadmaps, dealing with tough team members, or leading killer design thinking sessions, I've got you covered.

FAQs:

What is 1:1 Coaching?

One-on-one coaching is great for accelerating your career. Due to the nature of one-on-one coaching, it’s highly flexible and tailored to your unique goals and context. Each coaching session duration is an hour, and we will work together either through a learning backlog designed based on your goals and/or tackling current challenges.

Can I expense 1:1 Coaching through work?

Yes! Many of the people I coach expense it through their work. You can use the following email template to request approval from your manager.

What can I expect in a coaching session?

In a typical coaching session, we might spend time exploring topics such as Product Discovery or reviewing workshop material to help you grow and progress toward your goal. We may also tackle current challenges you may be facing and map out an action plan and way forward. My commitment to you as a coach is to a) keep everything confidential and b) to understand your context so that I can guide you in the best way possible.

How does 1:1 coaching work?

Meeting regularly, we will discuss a mixture of current challenges, topics, and learnings.  Anything we cover in our coaching sessions must be actionable and confidential. As a coach, I will invest a lot into understanding your current situation to ensure that advice and guidance are tailored and also to help you identify the right opportunities for you to put your learnings into practice. In between sessions, we will agree on an avenue to talk asynchronously. It’s important that you have an avenue to seek immediate help.

Is 1:1 Product Coaching right for me?

I coach Product Managers and Product Leaders of all levels, all around the world. I’ve coached people looking to break into product management to CPOs, in countries such as the United States, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany to name a few. Most who opt for one-on-one coaching generally are either:

  • Facing a new challenge

  • Looking to build confidence

  • Wanting to grow in a specific skill

  • Seeking a sounding board to bounce ideas off

  • Looking to take the next major step in their career

Some common reasons why people seek one-on-one coaching:

  • PM in a startup or in an org where they do not have support internally

  • Looking for a new role or promotion

  • Seeking support and guidance

  • Started a new role and want to set their first 90 days up for success

How does 1:1 coaching work?

The best part about 1:1 coaching is that I get to help PMs in various ways at different stages of their careers. This is the value of 1:1 coaching over training courses, where there may be hundreds of people in the course at one time. To give you an idea of some of the ways I’ve helped Product Managers to date:

I’ve helped Product Managers get promoted into product leader roles, from Senior PMs to CPOs. I’ve helped two PMs now land Senior PM roles, two get promoted to Group Product Manager, another to Director of Product, and one to Chief Product Officer.

I’ve also helped people break into product management. One specific example was Maria (see her testimonial below). I helped her pivot her career from an environmental science background. Through ongoing coaching, I helped her position herself as a product manager and land her first product role within 3 months of coaching.

I’ve also helped PMs gain confidence and overcome a suite of different challenges, from starting a new job and creating an impact in their first 90 days to managing difficult stakeholders or running discovery workshops for the first time. There are so many different ways that 1:1 coaching might help you.
